I have loved geology all my life. I am also Editor of Deposits online magazine, having been involved with the publication, almost since its inception as a printed quarterly magazine. During this time, I have written many book reviews and geological articles. These are the basis of the book reviews on this website.

I should also point out that I don’t review lousy books. All the books reviewed in this website are well worth buying. And – for my sins – I have read every one of them!

I am also a member of the Geologists’ Association, the Palaeontological Association and the Palaeontographical Society and the Yorkshire Geological Society largely due the the quality of the publications they produce
